Are you a 14-24 years old, active and creative person who would like to propose solutions to challenges you see around you?

Generation Unlimited (GenU) is an IDEA COMPETITION, which aims to inspire young people with brilliant new ideas to bring them to life including, those who face daily discrimination due to their gender or their disability and those who are disadvantaged by poverty. The challenge in Armenia is being implemented by UNICEF, UNDP and UWC Armenia.  

How to apply?

Form a team of 3 to 5 enthusiasts who are based in Armenia to join the Youth Challenge to identify new solutions that can have a positive impact around education, skills, training, employment opportunities and empowerment of young people.  Select one of the main areas of the competition and fill in the form below.

What we are looking for?

We would love to receive your applications with original ideas that could become innovative projects contributing to create new opportunities, entrepreneurships or jobs in your communities on the following topics:

The idea must be for one on the following issues:

·       Innovative volunteerism for common good

·       Smart agriculture

·       Creative industries

o   You should strive to:

·       Make sure your idea is original and new;

·       Can be developed into a project;

·       Human centered;

·       Will benefit more people than your group;

·       Has a potential for scaling up;

·       Would become sustainable (beyond the support you would receive from GenU).

What’s next?

Successful applicants will be invited to take part in a design workshop and bootcamp in February 2020. Following these workshops, the five most promising ideas pitched at the bootcamp will be selected and awarded US$ 1,000 grants each in funding and receive mentoring in support of the project development and implementation. Then, in June 2020, the two most promising solutions will be submitted to a global competition. These projects will receive further funding up to US$ 20,000 grants along with a tailored global incubation programme from Generation Unlimited partners to support them to scale up.
