Easier procedure of investments in Armenia via eRegulations

May 31, 2019

Due to the http://armenia.eregulations.org/ platform created with the funding of the Austrian Development Agency in cooperation with Business Armenia and the UNDP, foreign investments have become easier in Armenia. The platform was created within the framework of the "E-governance as a Tool for Facilitating the Government to Attract Foreign Investments" project.

The system has already introduced eight procedures of starting and doing business to which Armenia has become a part since 2018. As in 30 other countries of the world, foreign investors are step by step introduced to business, intellectual property registration, acquisition of residence status procedures.

Today, a presentation was organized for members of the club of economic journalists, during which the platform, the rules, advantages, and possible effects on investments have been presented.

Artak Poghosyan, UNDP Project Coordinator, Artak Poghosyan, Acting CEO of Business Armenia, and Arman Khachatryan, Investors’ Relations Manager and Sahak Adjemyan, Investors’ Relations specialist at Business Armenia, answered the questions of journalists.

10 other procedures will be simplified by the end of the year. The platform will be handed over to the Armenian government, which will later have the opportunity to simplify and submit unlimited quantities of business and foreign investment.
