On 15 September the “Green Lane” Agricultural Support NGO, with the support of the RA Ministry of Agriculture, Yerevan Municipality and various organizations, organized the annual “Festival of Rural Life and Traditions.”
Around 200 farmers, agricultural entrepreneurs and women groups from all regions of Armenia and abroad participated in this year’s annual festival. In the framework of the European Union funded ENPARD project “Producer Groups and Value Chain Development,” implemented jointly by UNDP and UNIDO, twelve cooperatives/producer groups took part in the festival representing various value chains, including buckwheat growing and processing, non-traditional vegetables, high-value chesses, dry fruits, herbal teas, oils, etc.
The festival was a unique platform where farmers, producers and buyers, processors, potential investors met, exchanged experiences and explored new markets and partnership opportunities.
