Transfer of Voter Authentication Devices to the CEC

On 4 July 2017 Bradley Busetto, UN Resident Coordinator/UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia, and Tigran Mukuchyan, Chairperson of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of the Republic of Armenia, signed the official transfer of property from the UN to the CEC of all voter authentication equipment procured for the implementation of the voter authentication process in Armenia.

The process introduced by the Electoral Code of June 2016 was implemented for the first time in Armenia during the 2 April National Assembly elections.

The equipment was procured thanks to the support and generosity of the European Union, the Governments of the US, UK, Germany, and Armenia.
