• Report on Application of the UN Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights in the Armenian Courts

    The report on application by Armenian courts of the "Right to work and of the rights to enjoyment of just and favorable conditions of work" secured by the UN Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights is based on the analysis conducted by a group of UNDP national experts. The report highlights main issues within the national legislation vis-a-vis the Covenant and lack of mechanisms to support proper implementation by the courts of the Covenant. The report is prepared and published in the framework of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Armenia office "Protecting Human Rights and Promoting Human Rights and Human Rights Education" and "Strengthening the Human Rights Capacity of the Human Rights Defender's Office" projects with financial support of UNDP and Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA). The report was prepared as of January 2008 and published in 2009.

    The EU Advisory Group supports the Republic of Armenia in the implementation of its reform agenda and seeks to help the country meet its international commitments. To accomplish this, the Group provides the Armenian Presidency and other national authorities with tailored policy advice on legal, democratic, economic and institutional issues. More indirectly, other official bodies of the Republic of Armenia, social partners, as well as civil society organisations, also benefit from this support.

  • National Youth Aspirations Research Report

    The national survey on “Youth Aspirations” aimed to reveal the aspirations, expectations, values and goals of young people of Armenia, as well as identify their allegations in the political, social and cultural life of the country. The survey was conducted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Armenia, in collaboration with the RA Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs and the National Youth Policy Council under the RA Prime Minister’s Office, within the framework of the “Mobilizing Communities for Social Contract in Armenia” Project. The target group of the survey included young people of Armenia aged 16-30.
